'I Love Autumn' Tag

As today is officially the first day of Autumn *yaaaay!*,  it is only fitting that I do the autumn tag. I was secretly tagged by Emily last week *okay, that makes us sound like spies, but unfortunately for some, we are not* So here it is, the I Love Autumn tag...

1. What is your favourite piece of clothing to be wearing in Autumn?
Anything warm and fluffy, so big cable knit cardigans are a must, as are my many scarf and hat combinations I wear constantly in the autumn.

2. What is your favourite nail colour for Autumn?
I don't really wear that much nail varnish as I'm convinced it makes my fingers look fat, but if I wore more, which I think I might start doing, it would probably be a deep glittery purple, with maybe a bit of gold. I love a bit of sparkle, especially when the days are getting duller the closer to Christmas we get, it somehow manages to brighten everything!

3. What is your favourite makeup product for Autumn?
I don't really wear a lot of make up on a daily basis which is mainly a result of the little time I have in the mornings before school, but no matter how short for time I am I pretty much always opt for a bit of mascara. The one I am currently loving is the Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Fibre in Black. It does the job perfectly, and seems to last a while, but that could be because I don't weigh my eyes down with mascara. The only problem I do have with this mascara is that it's not waterproof, but apart from that, I love it!

4. What is your favourite beauty product to use during Autumn?
I recently re-discovered my Nivea Lip Butter in Caramel Cream that I brought last year, and have just fallen in love with it all over again. It smells delicious enough to eat and is way better than having chapped lips.

5. What item of clothing do you love wearing at home, but wouldn't be seen wearing it in public?
Definitely my lovely and cosy slippers or my onesie, when I actually get one *hint to those with money*

6. What is your favourite drink for the Autumn weather?
Erm, water? That's all I really like. Although I told my sister that I had never had a hot chocolate today and she practically died right there and then, so I'm that will change soon, as might my favourite autumn drink.

7. What is your favourite winter food?
Anything hot. Or anything home baked, although that's the same any season really. But I can always make an exception for cookie dough ice cream. Always.

8. What is your favourite thing to do in the Autumn?
Be warm. I get cold quickly when I'm inside, but not necessarily when I'm outside - weird I know. Putting that aside, I love seeing family and friends, and pretending I'm still five by running round collecting conkers and jumping on all the crunchy leafs.

9. What is your favourite accessory?
Scarf's. And hats. Most definitely. I have way too many of both but they're just so warm and snugly *yes that's a word* that I can never resist buying them.

10. What is your favourite Autumn scent?
In the autumn/winter, I love the smell of cinnamon. It makes everything seem Christmassy and warm - if it's possible for a scent to make you feel warm anyway. But as far as perfume goes, I love Wonderstruck Enchanted by Taylor Swift *surprise surprise to those that know me*. It's quite fruity as contains the scent of wild berries but also has vanilla which makes everything better.

11. How do you like to have your hair in the Autumn?
When it comes to hair I'm generally pretty lazy but I'm going to blame that on the fact that I don't really have any time in the morning. I generally have my hair down with a slight wave or curl to it, but that's because my hair is naturally like that. I think having my hair down looks better when I wear hats which, in the autumn/winter, is about 90% of the time.

12. Do you love Autumn?
Looking back at my answers to these questions I think the answer is pretty clear - YES! I love autumn with all my heart; the only thing that would make it better is if it didn't always give me a cold.

I would like to tag Sarah to do this tag on her blog, and anyone else who wants to try this, for that matter.

What Does the Fox Say?

*Horary for cheeky mid-week posts!*
Okay that title sounds rather weird, but I think it's about to get weirder.
I have no idea why I'm writing this because I'm pretty sure it's going to get really strange really fast. But I have time, so oh well. I was going to post this next week, but I decided it couldn't wait, especially since this song has just been mentioned on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
A few days ago, my friend got a new favourite song *it sounds pretty normal right now, doesn't it?* but her being her, it's no ordinary song, oh no, it's one that contains multiple animal sounds *let the weirdness begin*. She discovered this song one evening as someone sent it to her, and then insisted on playing it to everyone. It's one of those annoying songs that you can't get out of your head, but my inner five year old loves it. I think it's going to be the next Gagnam Style, so if it is... YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST FOLKS. So, without further ado, here is the wonderful creation that is 'The Fox' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jofNR_WkoCE
*we have now reached a new, previously unreachable level of weirdness*
And yes, I am currently sitting here belting it out at the top of my lungs.

A Little Apology

I have now not posted in just under 3 weeks which seems like ages ago. I really didn't think it had been that long! I will try to update every week but, as I have found out, I unfortunately can't promise that. Now school has started again, I'm back to having no time to myself, this year more than ever. Nonetheless, I really will try my hardest to make time to blog as I enjoy it and it relaxes me a little. Basically what I'm trying to say is sorry for not updating! There shall definitely be a post on Sunday though - and that's a promise!
So until then, thank you for putting up with me and once again, SORRY!

August Challenge - Day 31

Day 31 -
Write about if/how the August Challenge has changed your life.

I think we should just start off by saying 'awww' as today is the last day of the August Challenge.
The last 31 days really have changed my life. I think August is when I really began blogging as I'd sort of forgotten about it after my first post. This month I blogged everyday, and I've realised how much I love it.
In August I started talking to Sarah more, and I can honestly say I love that too.
I feel like writing everyday has improved my English as its made me notice the little things that I get wrong and I now make those mistakes less.
I have also learnt how to spell 'August' this month too. As we don't go to school in August, I'm not writing it down in the date everyday, so I guess I've just never learnt how to spell it, but now I can. I know that sounds rather weird, but I can honestly say its true.
I think this Augusts has been one of the best Augusts I've ever had. I didn't fly across the world on holiday or have tea with the queen, in fact I did nothing really, but I've liked doing nothing. After being at school for what seems like months on end and exams to revise for, it was nice to just stop for a month. Stop with all the revision *well most of it*, stop with the homework *apart from the bits I got from the harsh teachers* and stop with getting up early five days a week. But now September is practically here and it shall all go back to how it was, but it'll be worth it in the end.
Now the only thing left to do is to decide what days to update my blog on...

August Challenge - Day 30

Day 30 -
Talk to someone you dislike, tell us why you dislike them and if your conversation has changes your views on them .

I most certainly don't hate anyone I know personally, and I don't think I dislike anyone either. I know that sounds like I'm just making it up, but I'm not. I think that you have to know someone before you can decide whether you like them or not, but during this time I always seem to find more reasons to like them that not. There's people that I like more than others, but there's something in everyone to like. It might be the smallest thing in someone that you like or admire, but just because its small doesn't mean it doesn't exist. That's the reason I don't hate anyone, I always seem to find at least one tiny thing in everyone. I guess I just see the good in people.
So, as far as this challenge goes, I've pretty much failed, but that's okay. I see this blog as a place where I can express my opinion and if that helps just one person, I'm happy with that.

August Challenge - Day 29

Day 29 -
Write about a subject you would talk about if you had to give a lecture tomorrow.

If I just found out that I was giving a lecture tomorrow, I would probably scream, especially since its practically tomorrow right now.
This answer is completely different to what it would have been if you asked me the same question a week ago, but right now, my answer is NCIS.
Yesterday, we got the promo for the first episode in Season 11, and I'm not joking when I say I could talk for England after that 31 second promo.
My level of excitement for Season 11 has grown immensely since seeing it and I now cannot wait until 24 September, even if it means getting up at 5:30 the day after so I can watch it before school. Its pretty certain that I will cry at the first, and most likely the second, episodes but I love the show so much and I wouldn't stop watching it for the world.
