My Week In Pictures #4
Happy Sunday!
Now, I'm sure we all knew this day was coming and as it is the 31st of August today this shall be my last daily post, well at least for a while anyway. I go back to school next week and I really don't think it would be possible to be able to balance this, school and a job successfully. However, I will still be posting here regularly, every Sunday and possibly a day in the week too!
Now the name of this post has been irrelevant to this post so far so lets change that and get into what I've got up to this past week.
MONDAY
I watched Taylor's flawless VMA performance of her new single Shake It Off multiple times *including at 3 in the morning but we shan't go into that* then I went to work in the afternoon, although this seems like it has been more than a week since that happened but I'm pretty sure it hasn't.
TUESDAY
Ahh, Tuesday. The day I willing had freezing cold water poured over me for a good cause, and then donated too otherwise it would have been pointless. I didn't quite apprehend how long it would take for me to get dry after that which resulted in me rushing about so I wasn't late to work, but I made it in time so it was fine.
WEDNESDAY
I decided today would be the day where I was really productive and did lots of school work although I ended up taking a break before I'd even started so that didn't go too well and I still have a tonne of work left to do.
THURSDAY
My friends Emily, Louisa, Becca and I went to Kerrys house where I think all we did was laugh for about 5 hours straight, but then again if someone is going to eat a rabbit biscuit that is bound to happen. I then got caught in the rain on my way to Sainsburys to do the food shop for my family and I forgot my headphones, so that's that.
FRIDAY
I'm pretty sure I spent hours online window shopping but I didn't actually buy anything so it was pretty much just another type of procrastination really. Although I think I did some work in the afternoon, but I can't quite remember which is terrible since this was two days ago oops.
SATURDAY
I worked what seemed to be a monstrous shift of six hours which made me super tired but then I proceeded to go out in the evening as it was my friends birthday party, which was great. Complete with bubbles, chocolate, marshmallows and of course bundles of laughter it was a lovely night.
I think this might be the last MWIP post for a while now, but you never know, one might just pop up out of the blue one day!
Thanks for reading!
See you soon!

VMA's 2014 Fashion Favourites
Happy Saturday!
We're so so close to the end of August now so I am most definitely not backing down now. Although saying that I am super tired and its barely even Saturday, but something must be written!
As I'm sure many of you are aware last Sunday was the return of the VMA's and as with the majority of award shows I shall tell you my best dressed celebrities.
As always, I loved the one and only Miss Taylor Swift's outfit, a Mary Katrantzou leotard with plum Elie Sabb shoes. At first I did think it looked like she had forgotten to put some trousers on, but then I decided it isn't really any shorter than the high waisted shorts she often sports and with her legs, why wouldn't you get them out and every opportunity? I love the fact that Taylor's outfit was late 80's inspired, just as her new album will be that I am obviously super excited for already.
I also really liked Lucy Hale's two piece with consisted of a small leather-look crop top and a long midi length embroidered skirt. I just want to zoom in on her skirt and bask in the glory of it's detail. It's just so beautiful.
Jordin Sparks rocked it in a plain white dress which, in theory, could come off as far too simple however she managed to pull it off. I think it was the perfect dress to skin ratio, if you know what I mean. Just enough skin was shown for the dress not to be seen as boring.
I love Beyonce's second third outfit of the night that she wore after being presented with the Video Vanguard award; a floor length burgundy Murad gown.
I also liked Jessie J's performance outfit; a daringly cut yet fully protected short black and white crocodile print dress.

Bourjois Express Eye Make Up Remover // Review
Happy Friday!
The last time I had a bit of a splurge in Boots I came across the Bourjois Express Eye Make Up Remover and thought I'd give it a try as my new waterproof mascara seemed to be undefeated even by make up wipes at the end of the day.
This eye make up remover is probably the best one I've used. There is quite a small opening at the top of the bottle meaning that you can easily place the end of a cotton bud into the solution to correct that pesky winged liner as you go but is also great for the smothering of cotton pads to wipe across your eyes.
As your eyes as a very delicate area you don't really want to be scrubbing the on a daily basis like you would with some make up wipes whereas with this you just have to simply apply a little to a cotton pad a wipe it across your eye and the majority of your make-up will come of first time.
Since buying this product I haven't actually seen it anywhere which is slightly worrying although I know they sell it on ASOS which is great. I payed £5 for my bottle or remover which I think is a very reasonable price considering how big a bottle you get and how little you last each time so it will last for a long time.

Back To School Stationary Haul
Happy Thursday!
Unfortunately, summer is drawing to a close which can only mean one thing, back to school. However awful those three words sound I do always manage to find a positive in going back. New stationary. I just love having everything all clean and tidy for starting a new year, I'm not really too sure why.
I've not even finished buying everything I need for going back to school yet, I still need more folders, a pencil case, a new bag and possibly a few other bits and bobs too, but I thought I'd tell you what I've got so far.
This year I've brought the majority of my things from Sainsbury's as they've had a massive stationary sale lately. I got one large leaver-arch folder with balloons on, and three smaller folders each a different colour, one pink, one coral and one mint green. I then decided to pick up two sets of dividers for my folders because they were 70p and will help to keep my work organised *hopefully*.
I normally try to resist the Stabilo pen buying urge but the sale just made me cave, and they have mini ones now so they're even more cute. I picked up a pack of 12 Stabilo mini fineliner's for about £2.50 which I think is a pretty good deal. I also picked up some little Post-It notes as I'm sure they will come in handy with the mountains of text books I'm going to have next year. I decided to pick up another pack of the Uni-ball Singo grip pens as they are my favourite ones to use and just seem to make everything look neater, although it probably isn't.
I'm planning to resort to the online world for a bag and pencil case now as I haven't really seen any I like yet and I'm starting to run out of time.

The Summer Tag!
Happy Wednesday!
The other day I was tagged by my friend Emily to do The Summer Tag, although it feels like summer has been and gone now, but I shall do it nonetheless!
1) Favourite bronzer for summer?
This is a no-brainer for me as it has to be the Soap and Glory Wonderbronze, which you can read a full review of here *cheeky little plug*
2) You're relaxing in a hammock on a tropical island, what are you sipping on?
Well first of all I would be questioning how I managed to get into the hammock in the first place because those things take some serious skill not to fall out off. Hopefully if I were on a tropical island then I would be drinking something far more interesting than plain old water, although I have no idea what exactly.
3) Favourite summer lip product?
Lately, I've really been loving the Carmex tube lip balm in the cherry flavour/scent. I love this as it's really moisturising and also contains SPF 15 which is great for the summer.
4) Pool or beach?
Probably beach because to me that means being on holiday which is always great, although the sand in your shoe's situation is never as fun.
5) Summer = Crazy hair! What's your must have styling product?
My hair doesn't really tend to change in different temperatures, or at least not at the ones we have here in the UK. But I think my summer styling product is probably any dry texturing spray because when the heat has made your hair look all sweaty and gross you can use a bit and people will think you spent ages on your hair.
6) Sun bathing or fake tan?
Ermm, neither? For me fake tan is far too risky and sun bathing just results in me getting really hot and bored.
7) Favourite summer nail polish?
I think for me this has to be the Barry M colour Heather from their silk finish line which gives the polish a slight iridescent look when your wearing it.
8) Any summer traditions?
Not really, just relaxing and having lots of family time really.
9) Favourite summer scent?
Surprise, it's Taylor time! This is obviously Wonderstruck by Taylor Swift for me. I just find it so bright and bold which for some reason reminds me greatly of summer.
10) Favourite BBQ food?
I'm going to be supper boring here and say sausages. I don't really like any of the other typical BBQ foods so that all I have a choice of really.
11) What's your favourite summer proof product?
I'm not really too sure on this one... deodorant? How unglamorous, I know, but it really is important for everyone to stock up on, especially in the summer.
12) Any summer vacation plans this year? No plans? Tell us about your dream trip...
When I was little we always used to go on holiday but now we haven't been in about the last 5 years, however I'd love to take a trip to America some day and just go to as many diffrent states as possible and soak in the fact that I'm probably in the same country as some of my favourite celebrities. That sounds super weird, I know.

My Top 5 TV Shows // TV Tuesday
Happy Tuesday!
I thought I'd do something a little different today and instead of telling you about one show I like, I'd attempt to rate my favourites. I say 'attempt' because I've still not decided which is number 1.
1) NCIS
Although I'm not really too keen on some of the more recent episodes, I think NCIS is my favourite show. I could sit and watch it for hours, and I have. I just love the chemistry been characters and all the different relationship throughout the show and getting to see both the character and actor develop on screen. I love it when that happens in a show.
2) Rizzoli & Isles
Lately this show has really gone up in my rating because I just keep finding my self laughing out loud, and it's not even a comedy show; it's a crime show. I know this is nowhere near as big a show as NCIS and so it doesn't have as big a budget so it's not as great on the technical side, but I love it nonetheless.
3) Bones
I think my third and second place are really close and sometimes Bones does come before Rizzoli & Isles, but not at the moment. I really like Bones but sometimes it gets a bit too gory so I don't like watching it, especially when there's a big serial killer story line.
4) The Big Bang Theory
I've loved this show for about the last three years and I'm so happy it's starting to get the recognition and viewers it deserves. With all the crime shows I watch a lighter, funny option is always great.
5) Castle
I think this is my number five, or it might be Criminal Minds. I'm not too sure. Although saying that it could also be How I Met Your Mother. Or Friends. Or possibly Modern Family. Okay, basically I can't decide on a fifth favourite TV show because I watch far too much TV.

Shake It Off // Music Monday
Happy Monday!
I'm actually really excited to write this post because it pretty much gives me a reason to ramble on about Taylor Swift and her new single Shake It Off.
Last Monday night Taylor held a livestream where she announced her new single and music video as well as some information about her new album 1989 which will be out later this year in October.
I was trying to write this post whilst listening to Shake It Off but I just ended up dancing for 4 minutes so that was unproductive. That's what happens when I hear it though, I just want to get up dance, how ever crazy I look.
This really isn't one of those songs that I can pick apart and decipher a personal meaning for really. I find the song to be pretty self explanatory, but I don't mind that at all. It fun. And I love seeing this side of Taylor because it lets us know that she's okay, and most importantly happy.
I don't really have much else to say apart from that I love this song and I just can't get enough of it!
You can listen to it HERE
